2-Tank Advanced Long Range Charter

Explore more of the Big Island coastline!

Quick Details

Certified Diver

There’s so much to see in Kona, but there’s also a lot more island to explore! This charter is a great option for divers who’ve already seen many of our local sites.

Whether we go north or south, there are some incredible sites to see. We have stunning scenery above and below the water with potential for dramatic lava structures, fishy drop-offs and unique coral features! The longer boat rides to and from remote locations also offer potential for surface encounters with animals such as dolphins, whales, sharks and rays.

As with all charters, long ranges are condition dependent. Dive sites are not predetermined and chosen day-of based on current ocean conditions as well as interests and experience levels of our guests.

AOW certification is not required, however, divers wishing to join any advanced charter must be able to conduct a controlled safety stop without the assistance of a line. Divers should be comfortable with the potential for limited overhead environments (such as archways or lava tubes) and able to demonstrate advanced buoyancy skills to safely enjoy fragile structure in close quarters. Divers should be comfortable with potential for deeper dives (60-100 ft) and the potential for dives with medium to strong current. Maximum of 5 divers per charter.

To better cater to the experience to divers skills and interests, a check-out dive is required before joining us on any advanced charter.

To give our guides more advanced sites and profiles to choose from, nitrox is strongly recommended for these charters. Not Nitrox certified? We offer introductions to Nitrox or Nitrox certifications.

All charters include air tanks, dive weights, defog and complementary use of our masks, snorkels and full-foot fins.

Snacks are served between dives (including our famous homemade brownies!) and a variety of hot and cold beverages are available. Our boat includes a mixture of sun and shade and a hot freshwater shower to rinse off after diving.

Private Guide

Want to set your own pace without worrying about anyone else? A private guide can help personalize your experience so you get exactly the kind of dive you want. Fewer divers in a group can also make for more intimate and engaging animal interactions. A great option for photographers trying to get the perfect shot.

Scuba diving is an extreme sport and restrictions must be adhered to before, during and after to mitigate potential health risks. Post-diving, this includes flying, going to altitude, freediving and other activities that could contribute to Decompression Sickness.
