Quick Details
Most divers don’t get to dive as often as they’d like to and sometimes a year (or a few) go by between dive trips. Our refreshers provide a safe (and fun!) way to dust the cobwebs off old skills and maybe even pick up some new ones.
Refreshers can be helpful for divers of any experience level after any lapse in dive history, but particularly recommended for:
– Divers with fewer than 10 dives (<6 months)
– Divers with fewer than 50 dives (<1 year)
– Divers with 50+ dives (<2 years)
*Depending on dive history, a refresher may be required before joining a group
Unlike most refreshers which take place in a pool, we prefer to conduct ours in the ocean so you can see some wonderful marine life at the same time!
We’ll take you on the same boat and to the same sites as all our other divers, but with a private guide so you can go at your own pace and explore the site within your own comfort level.
Your instructor will have you review essential skills and information from the Open Water certification class (clearing a flooded mask, regulator recovery, neutral buoyancy, etc.), then let you practice in a safe environment under their direct supervision. After skills practice, you and your instructor can explore the dive site at your own pace, within your own comfort level.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER
Scuba diving is an extreme sport and restrictions must be adhered to before, during and after to mitigate potential health risks. Post-diving, this includes flying, going to altitude, freediving and other activities that could contribute to Decompression Sickness.
