Whale Watching Tour

Experience Kona's humpback whale breeding season

Quick Details

$ 140

Join us as we explore the beautiful Kona coastline in search of seasonal humpback whales! Every winter, these remarkable giants migrate to the warm nursery waters of Hawaii to mate and give birth.

Viewers are often treated to a stunning array of acrobatics and behaviors like breaches, tail slaps and flukes! We even have an onboard hydrophone so you can listen for awe-inspiring whale song. Our coastline has more than just humpback whales and it’s not uncommon for guests to see dolphins, manta rays, turtles or sharks during the tour.

This charter does not include in-water activity so it’s great even for non-diving or snorkeling friends and family.

Included

A variety of complementary snacks and beverages.

Our boat includes a shade canopy and storage space for bags, layers and gear.

Bring with You

Know Before you Go

State and federal regulations are in place to protect humpback whales. Kona Diving Company is in compliance with regulation which prohibits approaching humpback whales within 100 yards. These regulations apply to all ocean users, year-round, anywhere within Hawaiian waters.

Viewing wildlife, including humpback whales, can have negative impacts for the animals if not done correctly. We are committed to giving our guests the best viewing possible with minimal disturbance to the animals.

Humpback whales are wild animals and sightings, though common, are never guaranteed.

There is no marine head or toilet onboard, so please wear a swimsuit in case you need to use the “Big Blue Loo.”
